We utilize two-color pulsed light excitation in bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) film to induce the photocurrent through the QuI effect. Experimentally, the photocurrent is indirectly monitored using a standard terahertz …
Webb1 okt. 1995 · The photocurrent is defined as the difference between the total current with the light on and with the light off. The pho- tocurrent is generated either with a He-Ne laser (632 nm), or by monochromatic light from a filament source. The latter light source is used to analyze the photocurrent spectral response of the device. WebbPhotocurrent of a p-InP n-CdS heterodiode realized by laser ablation was studied in the range of 450–900 nm at 77 and 300 K. The photocurrent increases exponentially by applying a forward and reverse bias. The results, which cannot be achieved with common pn-junctions, are interpreted by carrier injection into the InP CdS interface.
Photocurrent is the electric current through a photosensitive device, such as a photodiode, as the result of exposure to radiant power. The photocurrent may occur as a result of the photoelectric, photoemissive, or photovoltaic effect. The photocurrent may be enhanced by internal gain caused by interaction among ions and photons under the influence of applied fields, such as occurs in an avalanche photodiode (APD).
