WebMay 17, 2014 · I bought hood decals for the arctic with orange outline with the idea of painting tow hooks orange. Is it best to remove bumper or leave on and paint with bumper covered. It comes down to time. If you got it then definately remove the bumper. No matter how good you are at taping, etc, its so easy to accidently get overspray on the jeep. WebOct 28, 2024 · Shake the spray paint and spray one thin coat of paint. Keep your hand at least 10 inches from the tow hook cover. Wait another 15 minutes and spray a second coat of matching paint. Wait at least 30 minutes and spray one or two coats of clear coat. Clean the area where the tow hook hole is. In this case, duck tape was used to cover the tow hole.

WebOct 30, 2024 · Have to take the entire front bumper apart to get them out. Difference in mine from that video above is there were clips holding the inner metal plate on the tow hook bolts. I had to cut them off as I couldn’t get them off any other way.
