WebThe 9900K was capable of hitting 5.0ghz all-core, but I opted for a more consistent 4.8ghz all-core overclock. Lastly, the Flare X ram I got when I purchased my new CPU and swapped it out after about 2 months for a different kit. Nothing was wrong with it and was able to run it with AMD Expo without issue. I even tightened the timings slightly beyond that and it is stable, using 14-15-15-14-30 at the moment, with everything else according to the calculator. If I go 3733 with looser timings my performance is actually lower.

I also tried an 1800x which worked with manual voltages and did not have the same 15x multiplier issue. It seems to be on the 1700 only.
